If you have a Lyman Cast Bullet Manual I need your help.
Am looking for load data for 8mm Mauser and W748.

For mold #323471 my Lyman cast manual (3rd Ed.) says wt is 214 grains.

EDIT: Data NOT for use in .318 diameter J-bore rifles.

Win 748 data is as follows:

OAL: 3.000"

Starting load:
Grains of powder: 30.0
Velocity (FPS): 1,686
Pressure (CUP): 18,700

Max load:
Grains of powder: 40.0
Velocity (FPS): 2,178
Pressure (CUP): 33,900

Disclaimer: Provided for intellectual purposes only. I double checked but you really should be looking at this same data from the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook if you are going to use it to make handloads.

The 323471 is not listed in Lyman 49 or Lyman CB#4.

They list 323470.

At the risk of generalizing things:

"Stay away from ball powders and cast bullets if you can"

Ball powders like/need pressure to burn clean and efficiently.

Charging a cast bullet rifle round with ball powder, you're running upwind here, IMO.

Does anyone else have a copy of Lyman CB#3?

It looks like LoadData.com has data but I don't have a membership there. That mold # is in their list of data. It's near the bottom of this link:
