Plan to get some Lee die sets but need to clarify something to make sure I order what I want.
The Deluxe Rifle Die Set comes with- 1. Seating Die 3. Full Length Sizing Die 3. Collet Neck Die The Pacesetter 3 Die Set comes with- 1.Seating Die 2. Full Length Sizing Die 3. Factory Crimp Die Here is the question-- Are the Full Length Sizing Die and the Seating Die the same dies in both sets? Basicly the third die is the only difference between the two sets? Everything else is the same? Thanks |

Quoted:
Correct. Neck die used for bolt guns. Incorrect! The seating dies are different. The Deluxe die set comes with a "Dead Length" bullet seating die that will not crimp. The Three Die set comes with a standard Lee Seating die that will also crimp if desired. Set up for these two seating dies is completely different. |

Per Lee's website they both have dead length seating dies pacesetter dies Deluxe dies Edit. I am assuming that you were talking about 223 dies. Some of the pacesetter sets don't list the DL die but the 223 dies are the same part number for both seating dies. |

I had not thought they maybe different sets would have different dies based upon the caliber. I am just looking at 308 and 223. Back to Lee's webpage to look further, Thanks |

I have been using lee dies for some time. I buy the pacesetter sets, I have no use for the neck die with my rifles and reloading steps. Not saying it would be useless to have though .
BTW, both the 223 and 308 have the same FL and seating dies. If you are using some sort of press mounted powder drop don't forget to get the powder through rifle die. |

I am looking for my current and future needs. I did the math and its cheaper to buy the 3 die deluxe set and a crimp die then to buy the pacesetter set and then a neck collect die later. I just want to make sure the dies are the same. |
