Sorry I won't post a photo of Hornady's property. I know some do but I'd call that publishing copyrighted material.
I you want you can IM me a e-mail address and I will send it to you. I load the 7.5 but for the auto loading 49-56. I have tried some 168's but my normal loads are with 147 to 150 grain FMJ's and soft points. I would not use .308 data. I think Hodgdon has data on their web too. |

Thanks for the heads-up on the copyright issue. I fixed the post. Looking over the Hodgdon site, they get close to a load by listing the 7.5x55mm Swis...just didn't see a 7.5x54 French . You are correct. I was thinking of when I asked for H-335 data someone on here posted where to find it and I had access to it but never looked, it was in the Lee manual, that I have.
Elwood_Blues, I shoot 147s and 150's from my 49-56. Even some soft points. The Remington 150 core loc is a good bullet for it because the jacket goes all the way to the tip. This rifle will smash soft points at will. The French stuff is 139gr. I've found 147gr .308s work well. My 2 pet loads, use either IMR-4895 (39.0gr) or IMR-4064 (41.0gr) both of these cycle fine and are on the mild side. I do get some soot on the brass but I don't let it bother me. Recently I purchased an adjustable gas valve for mine. The rifle would throw its brass into the next county before, now it just barely makes it to the next bench. I'm going to try WC-844 in it next. That is why I needed the H-335 data. |
