I just finished sorting the last of my brass I had collected. In this lot I had alot of silver colored brass. Stainless steel? I have not loaded anything like this since 1985 when I did alot of .38, 357, and .44. Is there anything special I need to do to this type before I load it? It's heavier, I could tell when I was sorting it. Most of them would stand up when I would use the sorter. Most of them are Speer and Winchester. Input?

What you got there is nickel casings. Very good for reloading, though may chip in your die. I call them a step up from brass

Nickel plating.

Put them aside but reload like every other kind of its caliber.

Nickel work hardens faster.  I don't sort them out, but they do split sooner.

I prefer nickle pistol cases, and have no problem with them cracking.
