Just curious how long it's taking for people to get their reloading supplies (presses, dies, trimmers, etc).
I got a 550b for Christmas with the 40/10mm conversion kit. Wish I had bought a 223 kit then. Has anybody ordered from Dillon since the freak out? I see the kits on ebay going for $70-$107 .

So you want to know about Dillon specifically..
I ordered a Super Swage, a .223 caliber conversion, a .223 case gauge, and a deluxe quick change kit from them on the 18th. On the 23rd I got the SS, gauge, and conversion. The dQC kit was backordered. They billed me for it Wednesday, so I should have it maybe Tuesday. Dillon is backordered 6-8 months on .223 dies. I got lucky and found a set of RCBS small base locally. I'd call Dillon, order whatever they have in stock that you need, and try to find the rest on EE or fleabay. Good luck.... |

Well I guess thats not that bad. I'm not in a super hurry but I finally got everything I needed to start reloading when everything went into backorder. I was thinking about ordering the parts individually and see what happens that way.
I just ordered a 223 conversion kit for my 550b and 4 small primer pickup tubes. |

They have two numbers, a 1-800 and a local number. If one is busy, try the other one.
Be prepared to hold a minimum of 20 minutes though. Longest I've had to wait was 45. But, when you finally get someone on the phone, they are the same old nice, helpful, polite, knowledgable bunch they ever were. You should give them a call and ask about your order status. Also, watch your credit cards. When they BILL for it, that means it shipped. They don't give you tracking numbers unless you call and ask though, the stuff will just show up. So, if you see a charge from Dillon, at least part of it went out. |
