Got my 1911 back from armscor, but I didnt get my 1911 back from armscor, they sent me a new pistol with new barrels...

My 9mm loads work fine in it. My 22 TCM loads... do not chamber. The headspace is too long.

I now have about 1k 22 TCM rounds to pull down and resize...

Ran the last 150ish pieces of 30-30 brass through the wet tumblers. That should put right around 1000 pieces of Winchester and R-P marked brass to keep me stocked for a long time.. Had probably 5-10 lbs of Misc projectiles that got tossed into the wet tumblers for a quick clean/shine with the left over dirty water from the 30-30 brass.

I also consolidated a lot of the 1lb partials into bigger jugs and blended them to make one lot.

Beefed up the area of my work bench my 750 is mounted to.  Felt like it flexed a little to much.  Polished the powder funnel to get it to quit sticking when belling case.  Also ordered one of those ufo led light kits for the 750.

Found 1K Federal Match Large Rifle primers and 1K CCI BR4 primers. Got them both on sale. Not exactly what I was looking for, but close enough. and beggers can't be choosers these days. Coupled that with 1# each of BL-C(2) and W231. All in all it was a decent week of local scrounging.

Armscor sent me a new pistol instead of replacing the extractor on my old pistol.

The new pistol has new barrels (22 tcm and 9mm)

The 22 TCM barrel is way tighter than my last barrel.

I have about 1000 loaded rounds of 22 TCM.

Found out my CH4d trim die does not size the neck, I was able to body size the ammo down so it functions in my new barrel.

Saved me hours and hours of pulling down ammo and stuff.

Those are all different bins.  There are half full bins because some are mixed headstamp, and some not.  Some have cci primers and some Winchester.

I got my scale camera set up and tested.  I still have to work the cable part a bit - it's gotta be neater than it is.  Anyway...

Yeah, I have to work on focusing the camera a bit better, and yes there's still that film on the monitor, but I'm pretty happy with how the camera is working.

Here's how it's set up:

It's a tiny, square camera that I have fastened to a fake credit card - the paper clips hold short rubber bands that keep the camera on the card.  The card is held in a "shelf tag holder" that has two ball joints and a big clamp at the end; the card fits in the spot a price tag would sit in.  Between the camera, the card and the holder, I think there's about an ounce of weight clamped on the shelf the scale is on.  And that little bit meant I had to re-level the scale.

Anyway, I'm happy with it so far.  Coming up next is using it for loading up some .380s.  I have dies in the toolhead, but I haven't really set anything up yet.  That's for another day.

Nothing super exciting today.  Ran 3 loads through the FART.  Going to start playing around with Dawn and Lemishine levels. Tried Dawn professional degreaser.  Cleaned the brass, but now it has an antique brass color to it.

Might play around with tumble times too.  Ran it for 2 hours, then put new water in it after rinsing everything, added new dawn and lemishine and ran it for another 2 hours.  Water was black both times.

The testing continues.

Pounded out some .577/450 on the new press and actual dies for that calibre.

Rather nice not having to use the hacked together dies for another calibre on a press not built to handle that round.

Used 106 reloaded 9mm rounds at yesterday's match came home with over 200 9mm cases. Washed all of the sand off using a sifter and water hose.  Got them dried off, tumbled and ready to go.  Doing a little bit of rework on my 9mm load, since I believe my length is to blame for a couple problems I had at yesterday's match.

Cranked out 500 9mm this morning since it's my last day of vacation and it looks like its going to be a long nasty day of nonstop rain.  About to have to swap over to 45 since im getting low on small pistol primers, and have more large pistol than I'll probably feel like shooting in the next year.

Tried (AGAIN) to finish cleaning up my bench and finish installing my RCBS RC into its new position and AGAIN got called into work. Blanking Blanking Blank.

I was able to get it into position and crank down the bolts, but had to abandon my tools and stuff on the bench to go relieve a colleague whose 13 yr old son has to be taken to the ER because he swallowed 2 6!! magnets.

I don’t think the universe wants me to finish this up.

Today I got into my work room and did not actual reloading, but something related.

I started dealing with the clutter away from the bench.  Mostly I reorganized the “I will need this later” stuff from my shelves, and consolidated much of it in a 17 gallon tote from Home Depot, like this one:

It fits on the top shelf with room to spare, yet it gets a bunch of stuff out of my way.

Next comes the folding work table that’s accumulated too many things.  A bunch of these things need to be vetted or tossed, but I haven’t had time to do that.  I’m hoping to dig into that sometime soon.
