Does anyone use the K&M neck turning gear? If so, is it worth the money? (I don't mind paying more for quality USA made products).

Yes. Well worth the money. You will not be dissapointed.

It is well made gear but you are very likely to be disappointed with the lack of return on your investment of money and time.  BTDT.

I use sinclare equipment so I can't personally speak to K&M.  From what I've read it's good equipment.

I uniform the necks for most of my ammo that's used in a bolt action.  I will typically spend a few weeks processing a 100 cases at a leasurly pace while watching TV.  So far I've been pleased with the results.

I'm not motivated enough to process enough cases for an AR though

K&M is good to go.
Cleaning up necks will only make a difference when everything else is on par.
If you are using a bushing die, making the necks all the same thickness helps keep the size process the same across batches that would otherwise have different neck thickness.
