which powered case trimmer will give me best bang for the $ ? I will only be trimming 223 brass.
and cheapest place to get it... Thanks for any help. |

Don't forget the Gracey.
If you have a drill, the bang for the buck probably goes to the WFT. I've had issues with the Possum Hollow doing odd things to case mouths. I personally use a Forster powered trimmer in my benchtop drill press. It has the advantage of being quickly swapped over to any case I reload and can be fit with a 3-way cutter to save some time. |

Another vote for the World's Finest Trimmer. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Fast. I like mine.

There is also the CTS Trimmer.
Review on Calguns I intend to get one at some point but I have a Giraud for my .223 and .308 brass. |

What no love for the Hornady power case prep center? I got to use one last night on a few .308 cases and it is HORRIBLE imo!! I would rather get a Possum Hollow, WFT, or CTS trimmer than use that thing. It is cumbersome and still requires 3 operations. The cutter head turns at maybe 500rpm (highly doubt even that much). You would be better off getting a RCBS Trim Mate prep center and using a Forster trimmer with the drill drive. That thing just costs too much for what it does and you can't even keep your setup when you change calibers. I have a Giraud though for my high count calibers (anything over 500pc batches) and use a Forster manually for the rest. |

I use the Dillon to trim .223 and have been very pleased with it. I have a Rock Chucker press dedicated to that purpose. Very handy setup! do you use a vac on your setup? Yes––a cheap little Shop Vac brand. I keep it in the loading room for cleaning up spilled corn cob media, powder, spent primers, etc. |
