Ok, arf, I'm up to the point in my collection of reloading equipment, I need a scale. I'm not reloading 1000's of rounds at a time, so speed isn't really a factor, mostly I'm just loading some 30-06, and 7.7 Jap, for some bolt guns. I work for a living, so I have a pretty short budget of $100 or under. I have looked at the budget digital scales, but the accuracy issues have me a bit worried, and I have started looking at beams scales. Wal-Mart has the RCBS 502 priced at $63 here, and RCBS has the rebate thing going on now, so I could get $10 back on any RCBS scale really.
Mainly arf just recommend me a solid scale that I can set weigh out my charges, and not have to fuck with it all the time...... |

My first scale, which I still use as a spare, is the Dillon beam scale. It served me well for years and still works fine. I think that they're $45-$50 now. Look on Ebay for a minty 5-0-5, or 10/10. Ohaus makes all of these beam scales, so look for one of them. I use the ChargeMaster 1500 now and it's a bit faster.

Chris I'm looking on Dillon's site now, the beam scale they sell looks like a very nice one.... |
