Im sure this topic has been asked more than once so I pre-appologize for redundancy, but the search box showed zero results...

The time has come for me to invest in a decent chronograph... any suggestions?

After a bit of online research, I like the features of the CED M2 (mainly for its remote screen, large display, and ability to download info to pc)... but it seem's to get wildly mixed reviews. Some love it, some hate it
I would certainly be interested in hearing additional first-hand input, pros or cons, to this unit from any of you who are using one.

Unfortunately Oehler is beyond my allotted budget, $200ish or less is what Im willing to spend.

If you really don't need all the bells and whistles, I recommend a ProChrono Digital chronograph. It has some add-ons for PC connections, if you really need it later.

+1

I have this and it works great.

I haven't bought the remote that allows for viewing at the bench, printing, and PC.  Haven't needed it yet though.....

Maybe looking to buy the infra-red sky screens at some point in the future.  Haven't "needed" them yet either.

It's really a buy for purpose item. If you are really going to get into all the statical stuff then one with all the "bells and whistles may be for you. I just want to have reasonably accurate data so I can plug the info into my trajectory program or make sure my "pet load" is not way over max. I have a simple "Chroney" brand chronograph. (This is my second one. My brother shot my first one with a flintlock. ) Chroney replaced it at half price. It does what I need it to do. I may only use it about twice a year. It's kind of like the speciality tool you need to buy to do a specific repair on your truck. You may only need it once in a while but it's sure nice to have.
