I recently loaded some 125 Nosler Ball. Tip in some resized Lake City Brass.  The load data I was using stated C.O.L. as 2.060". But the round has about an 1/8" clearance in the magizine.  I had some issues with the round not wanting to feed properly from the mag on all the rounds.  I only had twenty rounds to try so I didn't have enough to try anything different.  Am I loading the bullet too deep for it to load correctly from the mags.  Does anyone load it to the maximum clearance of the magizine or go by the load data.

Way too many variables involved and too little information offered to diagnose your problem.

Check for short stroking first before you move any further.

Need more info before we can help.

Well, to begin with, it is most likely the ammo. I can't get it to reliably load using the charging handle.  However once it has one in the chamber and the bolt closes, I can shoot till the magizine is empty.  So Short stroking is out.

I've got to try some other mags I've got too.  I can say the mag  was a GI 30 round with a Mag pul Follower.  I was wondering if there was anyone else having an issue with their ammo being too short to cycle.  Most of the Pics I have seen show the tip of the bullet at the edge of the mag.  I think I may be loading them too deep. not sure though, because not a lot of info so far.

Not that I can find anyway.

Your seating depth sounds right.  Remember you cut down a .233 case alot to make Black.

I agree with the other guy though.  Eliminate some of the other factors first.  The mag is easy to test.  Just put 1 rd in and shoot.  See if it locks back.

Alll of my loads are over max for this little bastard.  Not that you should do that but the info is always conservative in the beginning.

Hope this helps.
