I have a few hundred cases of .308 and just purchased a RCBS .308 die... do I have to purchase a RCBS press or can I go with something else? I'm very new and just buying a component at a time.

The dies you purchased have 7/8" X 14 tpi threading.  Most/many/all modern presses are designed to accept the dies you have.

RCBS makes some nice presses.  I just bought a Redding T-7, which is a very nice press, too.

Welcome to reloading.

You would have to really hunt to find some old weirdo press that would not fit your dies

I believe some odd stuff was made 30+ years ago but everything else is the same standard stuff

Gracias friends.

So far I have 200 1x LC Match Brass.
Now I have a .308 die.

When I think of all the other crap I need, I want to just give up and just buy some more serbian rounds. =/

I also recommend reading all of the information at the top of the forum.  But the article I linked will help you understand exactly what you need to get started.
