Does anyone have the administrative details for the Sierra bullets drop-ship program?

It's the program with the $1000 (or is it $2000) minimum buy.

It is usually done via a local group buy amongs guys at a gun club because all bullets get shipped to one address.  You have to distribute them amongst the group, yourself, so it pays to keep it local.

Do you have to work thru a Sierra distributor?

I would guess an FFL is needed. Many years ago, Federal had a drop-ship program. To open an account, the first order had a 100 case  minimum. Direct from Federal to your FFL place of business. Following orders could then be smaller. Shipping was paid by Federal.

Green Supply is who we go through,  but OK Weber and others,  no need for FFL,  and the distributor will tell you the minimum order.

Good prices,  slow delivery

No FFL is needed.  (loss for words there)

Contact Sierra and ask for a drop shipment packet.

Get a few folks together and choose your bullets.  One person collects the money and sends it in with the order.  The bullets are shipped and then you divy out the orders.

Now, here are a few things.  The cost is something like 20% less when ordered this way which is good.  The bad is that you will not get all of your bullets at the same time.  Due to the various runs on production, some of the bullets will come seperate and at a later time (months possibly). Also depending on how they shi p the lot, ensure you have access to a loading dock or fork lift.  One year they came all on one pallet, the next multiple loss boxes.

Dad has been doing this for the past several years and I have gone in on some of the orders.

An FFL is not needed to purchase bullets.

So, contact Sierra for the info.  That sounds plausible.  :-)
