I need help
I have issues

I went to the range today to try some new pistol loads.
I go early in the morning to get some time alone at the range so Im not bothering people collecting brass.
there was (for my range) a BUNCH of pistol brass. I haven't gone thru it yet, but its seems like an even split of .45, .40, and 9mm. I bet I have 300 or so pieces. There wasn't much brass rifle ammo, maybe 10.
I got legitimately excited over it.

I am the same way man.  I get excited every time I pull up and no ones there because I know I can clean up from the slobs that leave me their brass!

ok, my estimate was a bit over-rated.

about 120 were 9mm and .380.
and about 90 .45
and no .40.... I could have sworn I was picking up .40s in the process. I got all the brass that wasn't rim fire.

I did come up with 2 10mm brass.

You dont need help or have issues, we all have our stash of our precioussss... I mean brass

Grats on the score, it never hurts to grab stuff you don't even use, never know when you can trade with someone for brass you need.

Last week when I went to the rifle range I found that someone had walked off and abandoned over 200 5.56 cases, all once fired military brass, just left them laying on the ground!  Their loss, my gain!

I never leave the range without getting something to take home and sort always keep at least 5k-10k of everything I shoot.

this is probably the biggest score at the range I frequent and definitely my biggest in pistol rounds.
Usually I score  more rifle rounds, but I wasn't too surprised. its turkey season so there were a ton of shot hulls. I thought about getting them, but that might push me over the edge and I would start reloading shot shells. Im trying to avoid that.

Ive started keeping a little tote with good stuff I dont use and I use it as trade and pay it forward fodder. the stuff thats damaged or bad goes in the scrap bucket.

Thats good news! I found over 200 once fired .223 two weeks ago out in the desert. I haven't found that much brass out there since O'bummer got in office. With ammo prices down, I hope the trend continues.

Hopefully. Im already not saving much money on my reloads. If components would come down, I would be happier.

Brass is accumulated slow buy steady.  An empty ammo box or two each trip adds up to a 5 gallon bucket before too long.
