Just started seeing this recently. Anyone using this for 5.56? Any feedback would be appreciated, in particular with 69 grains and up.

Bueller?   Bueller?

Interested in this stuff as well.  Mentions in their media it is good for all semi-auto .308s so I'm thinking possibly an option for the M1A as well.  Looks like it has a pretty decent spread of uses for various bullet weights.  I wonder how it will accommodate shorter (16") and short (10.5") barrels.

Just as well as it accommodates that cartridge in general and that cartridge accommodates short barrels.  The powder is either suitable for the cartridge and bullet weight combination or it isn't and barrel length has no part in that equation.  All the barrel length does is determine velocity.

I tried AR comp in my AR, using 69gr SMK's in Speer 08 cases, Rem 7 1/2, OAL 2.250 no crimp. 100 yd 10 shot groups.

Didn't shoot as good as IMR-8208 XBR, and not nearly as good as CFE 223. Same loads except for powder, shot same day.

Ar comp is a short grain extruded powder that measures well. Maybe my AR doesn't like it, and another rifle will do well.

Group sizes were running around .750 for the CFE 223, and IMR-8208 XBR.  1 1/4 for the AR comp.

Only bullet weight I have tried with CFE 223 and AR comp.

Dryflash, based off of your experience, can you order the following powders in terms of preference?  Any input as to why they are ranked in that particular order would be greatly appreciated.

RE15

CFE223

IMR-8208 XBR

I use all 3 of these.

Re-15 for 52 gr SMK. AeroE's load. The most accurate round I load.

Only been out once with CFE 223, but the work up loads beat my IMR-8208 XBR favorite load by a little. 69 gr SMK's here.

CFE 223 being a ball powder measures best, IMR-8208 XBR a short extruded powder almost as good.

Re-15 takes a tuned measure and good technique to successfully measure.

Thanks for the input.  I just started reloading and RE15 was the only thing in stock.  So far I've used it to load 77gr SMK and Barnes 62gr TSX ballistic tips.  I also have regular Barnes 62gr and 70gr TSX.  I'm hoping to get an order in for CFE and 8208XBR soon.

My best ever load for RE-15 is AeroE's magic load;

Win case, 52 grs Sierra MK, 27.0 grs Re-15, Rem 7 1/2, oal 2.250, no crimp.

Besides trimming, I uniform the primer pockets.

In my AR, this is a .5 moa load.

I'm gonna have to give this load a try.  I'll order some 52gr SMK, I have everything else.
