I bought an RCBS neck sizer for .270 and it did not come with a bullet seating die like my .223 set. Looking at online catalogs it doesn't look like it is supposed to. If I don't want to crimp, can I use my .223 bullet seating die to seat bullets?

Second, the pin at the bottom of the ram on my Rockchucker press keeps walking out every 30 rounds or so. What can I do to prevent this?

RCBS and  other manufacturers sells dies invididually and as sets.   If you bought a single die it's not going to come with another die.  Am I missing something here?

Look at the exploded parts diagram here http://www.rcbs.com/downloads/instructions/RockChuckerSupremePressInstructions.pdf

if you're talking about part 10 there's a set screw part 11 that holds it i place

Thanks much. I know that the neck sizing die wasn't supposed to come with a bullet seating die (was just not thinking when I bought it), but do I need to buy a separate seating die or will the one I have work?

That (#10) is the part, but the bottom of my ram is different. It is split instead of the toggle block being split. Maybe it's not a Rockchucker? It says "RCBS" on one side and "RC" on the other. Maybe it's an older model. I got it in a trade. I can't find any sort of set screw to hold the pin in place.

ETA: Come to think of it, I don't think a 270 case will fit high enough up in the .223 seating die, anyway.

You'll need a seater for .270 Win.

Try putting a case in the .223 Rem die.  With your hands, not in the press!

You need a seater die.

Does the pin have a grove near the end?

If so the C clip is missing. A common hardware part.

You could always call RCBS, they will send you the part you need for free. 1-800 553-5000.

I have an older model of Rockchucker. Tech said to give the pin one good whack with a punch. Works fine now.

Glad RCBS was able to help you.
