Recently while perusing COSteve's excellent series of post about cheap tips and tricks for Dillon Progressive Press owners, ( http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_42/338019_.html) I was most taken with his suggestion of cutting a wooden disk and attaching it to the powder measurement bolt on the powder bar, for easy adjustments to powder throw. Unfortunately, I was lacking the motivation to pull out the scroll saw and go through the steps to perform this procedure.
Fast forward to last week, when I was shopping at Home Depot for parts on an unrelated project. I happened to be in their specialty hardward and fasteners aisle, and happened upon this little gem, and bought a couple, with the thought that I might be able to adapt them more easily than the aforementioned method: http://www.flickr.com/photos/72712827@N05/6590831321/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/72712827@N05/6590831401/ Turns out it FITS PERFECTLY. Turned around and bought a few more for other calibers I eventually plan to load, so as to have one knob per caliber conversion. Not sure if the 650 uses the same powder bars, but if I had to guess, they probably do. Hope this is helpful to someone out there. Dirt EDIT: Still can't get the photos to work. Dang it. |

I use Photobucket so not sure how Flicker works. Try this, copy the IMG code. Then paste in your post. That's how Photobucket works. Good luck |

A while back I stumbled upon some blue ones. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v726/Coloradoglocker/DSCN7873.jpg Nice, COSteve! If you happen to remember where you picked those blue beauties up, let me know! I've become somewhat of a Dillon snob. Anyhow, thanks for the great ideas in your original post, and for sharing them. |

Found the ones I was referring to on homedepot.com...
http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202210196/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 They're a little more than I paid in-store, but still very reasonably priced in my mind. As for the ones COSteve is talking about, I can't speak to. Dirt |

Quoted: Anybody know if these can be ordered anywhere online! I've checked the Lowes and Hd's here and can't find anything. I have a Lowes about 2 miles from me, the Home Depot is about 30 miles, I have scoured Lowes many times with no luck, the only place I found them was at Home Depot. McMaster Carr would probably have something like these knobs, but shipping will be expensive for a small light item. |

I went to Home Depot today looking for these 5/16th Flowerettes. I was told by the guys who stock the Hardware Dept. that Home Depot no longer carries them. If you see any buy what they have, they will not be getting any more.
If anyone sees any of these at another store please post. Dane |
