specifically the various accurate arms and ramshot tac powders |

Did you get a 6x45 upper, Nden? Where from? got a barrel in route from midway (stoner 20" ss 1:8 hbar) amongst other parts; only thing it's got the 9/16x24 threads on the muzzle; midway only has one in stock that I could find on the site, it's a 1/4 of the price of the barrel
got a carbine upper with a ss barrel that's going south that's going to be the doner rifle. soon as the parts get here and I get a bit of time I'm going to tear it apart and put the 6x45 together; once the dies and virgin 223 brass arrive I'm going to begin brass prep then a bit of load work-up when I get the upper assembled. |

Have you looked in the AR Variants Forum? I remember reading about this round there. Might be worth a thread there. |

I've been playing with a 20" BHW 1:9 twist 3 groove poly rifled 6x45 barrel for a few weeks, I have got many groups under 1/2" and some 1/4" or better for 5 rounds at 100 yards, this thing shoots amazing and is super easy to load for.
I got the Forster FL BR die set with the Comp Micrometer seating die and man do I love these dies, run 223 brass in and out comes perfectly formed 6x45 brass with almost zero run out. I'm testing a batch of new LC brass, Hornady brass, and Lapua Match brass and they all shoot great, the Lapua shot the 1/4" group but the Hornady brass isnt far behind and is probably my favorite commercial brass. I've had great results with H322, AA2015, & N133 with the 55gr & 70gr Nosler BT's, 25gr of 2015 with a 55gr NBT shoots one small ragged hole at 3070 fps from the 20" BHW barrel. Another great load is 24.5gr of N133 with a 70gr NBT, it's consistently sub 1/2" at 2920 fps for 5 rounds at 100 yards. |

Figures that your ass would get an upper after I moved up here. I have a set of 6X45 dies too. should have signed up more recruits and made your monthly quote more oftenonce I get this rifle going I'll let you know how it shoots; that way when you make it back to OK you can shoot it; hopefully it'll be accurate enough to shoot the heads off of daisys at 200 yards and I can show you up again |
