Anyone have one of these just received mine tonight and it would not calabrate with out the powder pan on and instructions say to make sure the powder pan is off? Calabrated it with the pan on and then checked the weight with a beam scale and it dispenses the exact amount every time. Thanks Mike

No experience with the Hornady model, but with my PACT, I calibrate with the pan off, and once calibrated, I set the pan on the platten and zero the scale.  Then it accurately weighs the charges, but calibration is most definitely a "pan off" procedure.

Just spoke with Hornady and the tech said some of them wont take the small weight and as long as it passes calibration its fine. This one just has to have the pan on to calibrate.
