Does the toolholder for the XL650 attach to the strongmount or the press itself? Also if you don't use the strongmount is the mounting hardware kit have everything you need to mount the 650 to your bench?

The strong mount is just something to raise the press off of the surface of the bench.  The toolhead is going to mount to the press.  (I've got a 550 not a 650 but it isn't going to matter.)

I'm not sure what hardware comes with the 650.  But the bench you are going to mount it to will determine what hardware you need.  Personally I use a bench made from 4 layers of 3/4 plywood screwed together and I prefer through bolts with washers under the bench rather than lag bolts.  You should consider what you are going to mount it to and buy suitable hardware.

Not sure what the toolholder is, I just use the blue box that came with the press for all the allen wrenches.
And each caliber conversion goes in its own box.
