Does anybody load subsonic loads for 9mm or .223. I want to try and work up a subsonic load for both calibers that will still cycle the action. I realize that for .223, this may be impossible. Any recommendations?

Ive done 9mm with 147g bullets before
Never thought about doing 223, probably possible with trailboss

The Hodgdon web site has a couple published 223 loads with pistol powder, 1000-1100 fps. It does not say if it cycles and I have not tried them, but it might be a safe place to start.

could those be for shorter barrels? maybe AR pistols?
