Like I mentioned before....I am just a newbie learning to reload. So....., that said.....
Equipment I am learning on: Lee Handpress 3 Die "pacesetter Set (sizing, decap and crimp) 1 Shell holder Scale Primers Powder BulIets Spent cases Lee Support informed me their 3 Die Pacesetter set (in addition to everything else) was all I needed to de-prime, size, prime, load and seat bullet. I cannot find information on how to set the new primers with the equipment I have! Do any of these 3 Die act as a primer as well? How do I set new primers with what I have? Appreciate the assistance, as always |

Nope, you're going to need to buy a hand priming tool. Lee makes one that's cheap, RCBS makes one that's pretty good.
EDIT: Not to mention that I don't see a trimmer on your list. You're going to need to trim the cases to length before reloading them. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Appreciate the assistance, as always Don't know if you bought your hand press new or used. If you bought new, it came with the parts that can prime small and large size primers. Reread the instructions, look for the thing that screws into the top of the press where the dies go. That's the priming system that came with the press. You can either call Lee and order the parts, or look on their website for more info. Or you could buy a hand primer as suggested. If I was using a hand press to load, I would be using a hand primer just for convenience. Good luck, and don't hesitate to ask questions. We are here to help. |
