got a question for you guys about reloading the Lehigh 510-130 bullets. According to the description, these bullets are designed to be loaded for a velocity between 2500 and I think it was 3000 fps. Now I am not going to have any troubles for my 36" Ferret. But a buddy wants me to reload for him too some of these bullets. The problem is that his Safety Harbor has a 22" or so barrel. For example with my AMax sitting on 218gr of H50BMG. My rifle spits them out at 2700 fps while his with the same round only gets about 2350 fps. So with a heavier bullet I suspect the fps will drop more in his rifle.

So, if we launch this bullet below the designed velocity. Will this cause the bullet not to spin up enough to stabilize the bullet? I will work up to a recommend max charge. So, does anyone have any suggestions of how much of this powder I can load it to? Now this is a 800 gr bullet.

Thanks
