Went to buy primers yesterday and notice that CCI400 jumped from around 25.50 to 30.00 that almost a 20% increase.  Is this common because of the shooting season, or just a increase?

Is it still the best place to buy primers and powder?

Probably commodity prices finally catching up with new inventory. Fuel and shipping cost increases added in as well to get produce from point A to point B.  Nothing will ever be as cheap as it once was.

There were several threads a couple months back about how all components were going up significantly due to commodity prices climbing. I believe it was said that there would be upwards of a 15% increase on all components. I took the news seriously and bought 20k primers and 15k bullets well before any increases.

This.  Just ordered some Lapua .22-250 brass from PVI after seeing their price was $62 per 100 while Midway was $110.99 and Sinclair was $91.85 per 100.

At least PVI isn't quick to raise prices on older inventory just because current prices have gone up.

Wow!  I didnt think lapua would have gone up that much––their economy apparently sucks too.  I wonder if retailers margins bumped a bit too in this one

Some places just do not keep up with the increases as fast as others, but they could have been over stocked.....

Lapua brass is going up 7.5 percent and bullets are going up 10 percent the first of July.
Lapua raised their 22.250 brass big time over last year the first of the year as they did not figure out costs properly
Places can have great prices, but what good does that do you when they are out of stock.  .

ATK had 5to15 percent increases across their product line. ( Federal and CCI)

Hornady bullets went up 5 percent the first of May

Sierra bullets went up 3 percent the first of May

Swift bullest went up 7 percent the first of May

Barnes bullets went up 5 percent the first of April.

Nosler bullets went up 10 percent the first of April.
Nolser brass went up 7 percent the first of April.

Winchester has had a stout price hike across their product line.

Gun show was even cheaper at 25.99 this weekend.

Just got an order in from Widener's $23.50 for CCI 400 and 15.50 for Wolf.  Also got 8 lbs of TAC for 125.00.

Not bad overall.  I'm happy.
