Is there any way to safely deactivate powder like adding bleach or ammonia to it?

I ask because I finally swept the floor around my reloading station yesterday, and probably swept up quite a bit of mixed powders (along with brass shavings, etc) that I just dumped into a bucket. The contents of this bucket will probably go into the trash, but I would like to know it's going to stay safe before I do so.

Throw it in the yard, it's fertilizer.

So?

The brass will not harm anything.

This.  I did it the other day, when I accidentally mixed a little bit of Bullseye in with some rifle powder (oops).

First post and all of that.  It is not that hard to get rid of spilled powder.

Throw it in the yard. If it makes you feel better you can squirt the dirt around it.

If we're talking brass shavings from dies, they are a non-issue.

i usually throw it on the rose bushes under my windows.  i think they like it since they grew a little more than usual last year.

another vote for scatter it outside

i suppose you could flush it (in small amounts) but someone will probably come along and tell me that will make a toilet bomb
