new to reloading and not sure what is fare value of once fired brass. Local Craiglist offering has this brass  from an estate
150 ct. mixed, once fired, 44 mag brass
398 ct. mixed, once fired, 38 spl. brass
160 ct. mixed, once fired, (80% cleaned & decapped) 30-06 brass

what would be a fare price to offer, and not be ripping off the old lady?

TIA

If it is all mostly the same brand name headstamp, fairly clean and looks like it is really only once fired top shelf fair price
would be $10 for the 44 mag, $20 for the 38sp and $15 for the 06.

Most resourceful reloaders almost only buy common size brass when just starting out or if they wish rifle brass for match use.

Always pick brass up even if it is a caliber you don't use as trading material.

When you go to look bring a pile of cash , ask about reloading equipment and other "sporting equipment"

Unless it is factory fresh in the box any reloading equipment should be 50% or less of the current price at a discount mail order place like midway

If the stuff was bought 8 or 10 years back it likely only cost 50% so this is really a very fair price.

When buying reloading gear a offer to dispose of old powder and clean out all the odds and ends on the bench can sometimes reap great benefits.
Gun safes can usually be had for an offer to haul them away. Moving large safes can be a project so be cautious.

The mother load I have been lucky to find several times is a old gent who used to load for trap shooting as the shotgun powders are very suitable for pistol reloading
and the trap guys bought them in 4 and 8 lb kegs

Keep in mind that most times someone who doesn't reload thinks of all that related gear as nasty dangerous stuff they just want to have someone haul away!
