I have just started reloading, so far just my rifle. Looking to reload for my handguns. I currently shoot 9mm and 45 acp. My Hornaday load book list several powders that can be used in either cartridge.  My goal is a good accurrate powder, thats not too dirty that I can load in both.  I would like to keep things simple, do to limited space. Any recomendations would be helpful.

Look at Bullseye and Clays. Bullseye you will find all kinds of load data, Clays is a little harder to find data for but its out there. I love clays for light loads in .45.

4.2 grains for light loads with 230gr or 115gr.

Burns nice and clean and seems rather accurate as well. I see only buying Titegroup (and maybe some Power Pistol) from here on out.

Unique is another one that can do double duty, but it's friggen filthy. I don't recommend it.

This is all true... I'm becoming a bigger fan of Titegroup by the day.

If your wanting factory velocities without excessive pressure Power Pistol works great for 9mm and .45 (for jacketed bullets).  Personally I think it's the best all around 9mm powder.

WST is a nice clean burning .45 powder.

Unique will work in both, but it's filthy. Power Pistol works in both.

I use Ramshot's True Blue for all my pistol plinking loads.  44 mag, 45 acp, 380 acp.  It meters like water and works for everything.

For full power loads I use Win 296, Power Pistol, AA# 9.  I have also been known to use old standbys win 231 and AA# 5.

I am really liking Winchesters AutoComp. I use AutoComp for 45 ACP and 44S&W/Rem Mag. 231 has been around and is also a great powder. In competition I see most shooters using WST for 45 ACP.

For my .45 I like Tite Group
I like Winchester WSF for my 9mm
They both Perform very well I think the WSF is cleaner Burning than Tite Group

I've been using 231 a lot and it's been very clean and accurate with an ES of on 23fps on 20 9mm rounds last time I played with the chrono so it meters well too. I'm working up some WST loads right now but haven't tested them yet so I'm not sure on cleanliness and metering for me.

I have used HS-6 for both with success.

What kind of loads are you running with Autocomp?  I got a pound of it during the component shortage because it was reasonably priced and on the shelf.  I tried it with starting loads with 185 LSWC and found it to be uncomfortable to shoot.  Just seemed way snappy and sharp feeling compared to even mil-spec 230 ball loads.  I was expecting a mild plinker and didn't feel like it fit the bill.

I used it to load some plinkers for my roommate's 9mm, but haven't gotten out to test those just yet.

231/HP38, Titegroup, and Bullseye will work for both and can be relatively clean. Unique will also work for both but can be pretty dirty.

I use all three of the first ones listed. I just buy which ever I can find for the best deal when I need powder. If they are all three there for the same price, Titegoup is my first choice for 9mm and 231 is my first choice in 45.

Win 231 is a good multi pistol caliber powder.  Unique is good to but this powder shines when loaded mid to max range and not as filthy as everyone states.

HS-6 and Ramshot Silhouette are great in both 9 and 45(and 40 for that matter)

I know they list data for it in 45 ACP, but I figured it would just be way too slow.  Or at least the levels that it would start to burn decent would be much higher velocity than I would find comfortable to shoot in 45.

I have used 231 for 45, but I really prefer the WST that I am using now.

I use it for 9mm at the max listed loads and I really like it.  Fast and accurate.  Clean burning, and it meters awesome too.
