So today I went to the range and put thirty rounds through the 10.5" and TROS can. I had Trailboss/55 grain projectiles @ 4.0gr , 3.5gr, and ended with 3.0 gr . All of the rounds went through. Point of aim and Point of impact were way off from the typical load used to sight in with (No big surprise there). But the range did have slight gusts of wind every now and then.
My questions are what load can I used where the gun will cycle? Why would the same load with the same POA  have a different POI?

I went through this and the reply I got was this:

If .223 sub is what you want, just buy a .22

I've seen these loads in my book and have bought the two powders that they talk about but have not loaded any yet.

Do the loads in the book fill the 5.56mm case?  If not how much do they fill it?

2%, 50%, 80%?

Been wondering about that.

Thanks.

You can't get a subsonic load to cycle an AR.

Give EBR a call. They have video of their subsonic 5.56mm running full auto, suppressed.

From Lee's.223  case volume and their Trailboss data:
4 grains 46.45% of case volume
3.5 grains 40.65% case volume
3 grains 34.84% case volume
