Pic of an "O" frame press. A "C" frame will be open in the front. Just a guess, but $25 to $30 sound more reasonable to me, without more info. |

A Spartan is a C Frame turret press. I'm not sure if they use 7/8-14 dies, or the old 3/4 inch Lyman dies.
I would not pay $50 for that press unless it was basically in new condition. Plus I would check to see if it uses modern dies; probably does, but it doesn't cost anything to find out for sure. In fair condition it's worth $25. If you need parts, you'll have to hunt for them on the used market. |
