Mostly I'm interested in deburring.

I've been using the Lee tool so far and the issue is the outside of the case mouth.  I think getting this right is my last hurdle in an uber consistent shot to shot load.

Cleaning up the inside has been pretty easy, its the outside that has been a challenge (at least with the Lee tool)

Last night I ordered this:

Do you go beyond these types of tools to clean up the outside of the case mouth?  Or is the 'right' one enough?

Thats a good one, I think I have three or four of them laying around here but I use a similar setup in my Trim Mate that has a VLD chamfering tool for easier seating of Match bullets but the outside uses a standard deburring tool.

How or where did you get that VLD chamfer tool for the rcbs trim mate?

As for tips, I get better results when I deburr first, chamfer, and then chase one last time with the deburring tool. Don't use force; let the cutter do the work.

Thats a bitchin setup.  Can you list where you got the components?

I have a BUNCH of tools for the Trim Mate and this combo works the best/fastest, the RCBS VLD chamfering tool is VERY sharp and only takes less than a second to chamfer the case mouth, any more and it will cut way to much metal from the case mouth.

rear right, Hornady SP crimp reamer
front right, Redding SP pocket carbide uniformer
front left, RCBS VLD chamfering tool
rear left, Hornady deburring tool (same one they use on their case prep center) Lyman makes one just like it but it isn't as sharp
back center, Redding flash hole uniformer/deburrer with built-in stop and SS case neck guide

The Giraud does it all in one step, trim, chamfer, and deburr, it's expensive but nice (if you have "softish" brass, annealing helps).

The Wilson tool is much nicer than the Lee tool.

It's a price thing. The Lee tool works and is cheap.

You can't beat the hand tool you got until you buy a Forster Turn Handle for it, or buy an RCBS Trim Mate....and then there are the 3-way trimmers!

I used the same Trim Mate set up as EWP until Forster came out with the 3-way trimmer/deburr/chamfer tool for my Forster Trimmer.  Now all I need to use the Trim Mate for is for primer pocket work. Uniforming and/or cleaning primer pockets and deburring the flash holes.

The Three-way tool (shown below) just slides over the regular cutter and secures with a set screw.  You can trim the old way on calibers not yet supported with the new 3-way by just sliding it off.  The original cutter is hiding under it. (the 3-way comes in 3 versions: for all calibers .22, .308, and .243.

Other options: The RCBS 3-way on it's trimmer, and of course the............Giraud Trimmer.

That Wilson tool is pretty effective when turned slow (Lee Zip trim).

Otherwise its just a chatter tool.  So go slow with that Zip trim

Just 1-2 turns on the inside (light pressure) and 3-4 on the outside (light pressure) does the trick.

That's the best all around deburring tool.  I use it for everything, including VLD style bullets.  Now you need this: http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/sid=66387/sku/Sinclair_Case_Mouth_Deburring_Tool_Holder

Maybe one of these, too:  http://www.possumhollowproducts.com/kwick-case-trimmers.html

The Wilson/RCBS deburring tool and the Kwick Case Trimmer both fit the tool holder sold by Sinclair.
