The distance between shots on the target rotating at a given speed would tell you how many shots per segment of time you would get with a given batch of ammo, perhaps? A way to measure the exact amount of time between shots. Just speculation...

Perhaps time between shots could be used to figure a rough guess at chamber pressure, when used in full auto of course... I'm guessing powder burn rates were anything but consistent at that time...

I find it interesting that they manufactured there own brass.

I would have simply picked up the MIL brass to reload that.

Locals must have wanted to much coin for spent brass. I need to get on of those dillon bullet circumcisers. Pretty cool clip!

Very cool clip.

The spinning targets have got to be a chronograph. All you need to know is the rate they are spinning at, then with the angle between the holes on the cards you get the velocity. Very cool.
