| Which powder measure are you guys having the best luck with in terms of using Varget? |
| Besides feeling a little flimsy, I really haven't been disappointed with my Lee Perfect Powder Measure. Varget is my go-to .223 powder, and the charges from my PPM are very consistent, usually within .1 gr, and it throws my flake pistol powders right on the nose every time. They're pretty inexpensive, give one a try. |

I've polished my Dillon up a bit and it works decently...+/- .2 (or less grains) for ammo that I'm not going to shoot past 500 yards. ES and SD are both serviceable at short to moderate distances. If you want to be nuts on with stick powders, get something like a RCBS Chargemaster 1500. You won't see +/- .2 grs on paper unless you're shooting a good distance, so don't sweat it. Chris |

My PACT electronic scale/dispenser handles Varget fine, if slowly.
I have a Harrell Schuentzen powder measure that's rated to 25 grains, but you can dial it out a bit past that. It will shear off some sticks but drops +/- 1/10th of a grain with no problem.

| I only have experience with RCBS, and their Uniflow powder measure. I can throw Varget and IMR 4895 to within .1 or .2 grains, then trickle into it pretty quickly. And it's pretty consistent at that. It's not very often that I'll throw a full-weighted charge with it when I've got it set light, so I've been pretty happy with it. |

I have a Lee Perfect powder measure. After running a few hopper fulls of powder through it seems to be getting more accurate and was throwing varget within 2 grains last time I loaded that. I was measuring and correcting the drops with a scale as I'm still testing loads for it. |

It drops the same amount with boring regularity! And at a very nice price. I did note it's accuracy being better after the 3rd or 4th time using it too, for some reason. (?) Mike B |

I know it seems impossible but the silly $20 plastic Lee Perfect Powder measure throws Verget as accurate or more so than any other I've tried,
and that includes my Harrell's Premium, RCBS, and Redding. It's not what I'd use for really Precision loading. For F Class I weight every load. But for service rifle loads, general shooting or hunting the Lee is great. |
