Has to be 99% alcohol or the lanolin will not blend with the mix because too much water in the alcohol. I tried 91% and some problems with it. The ratio is for every 1 oz. of Lanolin use 10-12 oz. of Alcohol. When using the 10-1 ratio I use one squirt of lube for every hand full of brass I put in the gallon bag to shake. Then dump them out on a long bread pan to dry for 15 minutes with a fan on.
