One got past me. Went shooting yesterday, I had just finished the last 5 rounds out of my new LCR (love that gun, btw) and my friend was next to me shooting my glock. I heard a funny pop from the gun and looked over as he was ejecting the spent shell. I knew right then and there what had happened. I told him to unload the gun and strip it down. Sure as hell, there it was. Lodged tight in the barrel. Just goes to show you. I have always used my flash light to check the powder charges on my cases. But this one still somehow got past. I'm just glad that I heard it and had the sense to not try and shoot the gun again. From now on I will be checking my charges multiple times.

Did the LCR have a squib (you said you had the sense not to fire again) or did the Glock have a squib (meaning he had the sense to not fire again.)

You had do it, bring up the Glock KABOOM...them darn Glocks blowin up all the time.....

Why all the hate?

My Glock provides a little contrast next to my 1911..I like them both.

To the OP, good job catching this before running another slug down the bore.  Hopefully you will catch it on the bench next time.

Load safe!

We don't want to start a LCR is a "nade" thread.

Glad you were paying attention and that no one got hurt.

I have only had one in my hundreds of thousands of rounds loaded. Naturally it was in my full auto Uzi. round went down the barrel halfway and got stuck but the gun cycled and the next round went off with the other bullet still in barrel. KB, top cover blown off and magazine blown out the bottom.  I was slightly freaked out   .put gun down and went home. I was lucky no damage to face or gun. One strong ass design, barrel not even bulged.

That happens to me every time my mom and dad argue while my dad is reloading. I'm pretty paranoid about my dad's pistol reloads. Lets not even mention the fact he loads hand cast lead for a stock glock barrel.

I've only had one in the 20+ years and tens of thousands or rounds of reloading! Luckily it was a 357 magnum and I was shooting my Ruger Security Six. I was doing some single action shooting and had one just pop. I rolled the cylinder out and there it was, a cast lead bullet just a ways in the barrel. I took it back into my shop and used a wooden dowel and a hammer and drove it out. No harm and no damage but from that time on I now have a huge halegon light mounted above my press along with my regular shop litgts. This bright halegon light shines right down onto the press and I can see EVERY charge. I use a turret press and load at a slow pace never getting in a hurry. I have gotten into a routine of checking each and every charged case and that bright light really helps.

I'm not so sure he is serious. I hope not. But if you take this post in context with Couch Commando's Avatar and Wildcats kissing pitchforks. Well, There's got to be a backwood moonshine story to finish the hand cast lead for a stock block barrel.

No. It was the Glock. Ruger was perfect in every way. It's my daily carry piece.  There was only one round of .40 left. It was time to call it. They are even lower loads to avoid seperation. I learned a valuable lesson. And I LOVE my LCR. brand new and ran like a champ!
