I have a RRA AR15 with a 24" SS barrel and I am hunting a load. I am a long time reloader and know how to work up a load. This said I would like to shorten the process and obtain the results I want. This load will be used ONLY
to punch five shot groups as tightly as the rifle will allow. Most of my shooting is done with friends who like to outshoot me. We really have a great time . I ask the forum for their favorite loads (including bullet size) and I will do the rest. Thanks for the help and good shooting! Michael |

Mine, 1;9" ss 20" Heavy target, 3# trigger.
60gr Horn V-max, 22.0gr/H-335, CCI BR, sized only to chambering with firm thumb pressure on back of bolt carrier. Shooting right at 10 shots in 1" (heavy sand bags front & rear). The load is not as fast as I wanted but it puts them on target. I simply could not get the performance others got with 52gr bullets, 55gr bullets, H-322, or 10X. The best I could do with these was 5 in 1", my ten shot strings kept opening up to 2". MLG |

Winchester cases, Remington 7 1/2 primers, 27.0 grains of Reloder 15, and 52 grain MatchKings. If you don't like the 27.0, also try 27.3. The results in two of my rifles, 27.0 gr in a Colt HBAR, and 27.3 gr in a SPS tactical, are unreal. J The problem is packing that much into the case. 27.4 grains fills the case to the very top of the case mouth, so it's hard to get it from the load block to the press without spillage, and the compression is higher so the neck tension has to be strong. |
