Where is the best place to buy rifle brass? Specifically .223 and .308. The cheapest I've found is $50 per 1K of .223 and $80 per 1K of .308.

I generally find it on the EE. If not there, locally when a deal pops up.

Nevermind. Wrong tab.

Do you mind telling me where you are finding the .308 deal? If it is private shoot me an IM.

I also would like to know your source for .223 and .308.  Precision Brass has been recommended here, but it is way more than what you found already.

Are we talking once-fired or new brass?   Big price difference there.

The only way I buy brass is when I buy loaded ammo.

If I'm short on a caliber of brass (which is practically impossible since it can be picked up for free), I'll buy some factory ammo and shoot it.

I've only found .308 brass for that price locally. I'm guessing $80 per 1K of .308 is a pretty good deal for brass.

I generally agree with that.  However, I did have to buy .380 brass because my little pocket gun throws brass everywhere and I typically only recovered 3/10's of what I shot.  I also bought 6.5 grendel brass because ammo is almost impossible to find or is very expensive.

I would consider buying .223 once-fired if it was local and cheap...just to add to my inventory for a rainy day.

Look on www.gunbroker.com, sometimes you see a good deal on brass there.
