I know it's pretty common practice to use brake cleaner on a lot of gun/reloading equipment. Well, follow the link for a story of how a guy very nearly KILLED himself using chlorinated brake cleaner! He did permanently damage his health.
DANGER, WILL ROBINSON, DANGER!!!! Positively DO NOT heat ANYTHING that has been exposed to chlorinated brake cleaner! You can create phosgene gas, which will (repeat, WILL) kill you!
