Is the Dillon CV-2001 the best tumbler for the money to tumble .223/5.56 in large quantities in? I have a lead on a decent size lot of brass and might need to tumble quite a bit of it? How many 5.56 cases should I be able to do at once on it?

1000 - 1200 will fit quite well.

I've had one for several years and it's been a workhorse!  I can tumble up to 400 30-06 cases at once.  I've used it for .50 BMG and can run 30 or so at a time with room to spare.  I don't know how many .223 cases I've run at a time but it's been a bunch!

IMHO, you can't go wrong with one.

Is $180 the lowest I'm going to find this for?

Umm, Okay this past weekend I bought one of these from harbor frieght:

Went to the store it was reg priced at 199 and on sale for 149.99, I used the 20% off coupon of one item that you can find in your current Amerincan Rifle magazine.  And I bought the 2 year warranty for 19.99.  Anyway my total after taxes with warranty was $148.00.

As far as I know, the Dillon warranty on "electrical" items is only good for 1 year.

All I'm saying is this might be an alternative to the dillon tumbler.

And if you really have that many to deal with, just do like the commercial guys do.  They don't use tumblers.
