I am fairly new to reloading.  I only got started in it a few months ago.

For now I plan to reload .223 since I have several thousand cases, bullets, primers and powder.

I live in Florida and have a garage with a workbench.  However, the garage is not air conditioned and quite frankly it is too hot to work there during several months of the year.

I decided to fix up a work area in my gunroom, which is an extra 12 x 13 bedroom my wife lets me use.

I bought a table at Ikea.  It is heavy duty with a solid wood top.  It was only like $150 and provides a good platform.

I have a separate station set up for sizing with a Redding press.  I also have a Dillon trimmer mounted on a Rockchucker.  I then do the final neck sizing, primer seating, power loading and bullet seating on the Dillon.

Because I do the sizing separately it is not a 400 bullet an hour setup but I can do it fairly fast.  I know I can do the sizing on the Dillon but I feel more comfortable with the single stage press.

Whatever works for you just do it. Try it and see how you like it.  Personally I would have got a lot bigger table or work bench. Especially with 3 presses. There are plans to make them and you could have made one a lot less than $150.  You could put some shelving above the table also.  Hopefully the wife doesn't care.  I am fortunate to have a walkout below ground basement on a mountain with awesome drainage. Constant temperature and no moisture problems.  Great for storing powder, ammunition, primers, guns, etc...

I am planning to build a new home next year.  I have bough some land and have the funds available.  I will build a proper workshop and gun room in the new home.

There is another table in the room but I also have to keep the gunsafes and ammo and everything else firearm related in the room.  I also can't do too much to the room because after we build our new home we plan to give this one to my son and I don't want to mess up the bedroom too much.

Also, once it gets a little cooler I can move the presses out to the garage workbench if I want.

The table is not too bad.  I have room to do each function.

A great start, but you will need more bench space and some shelfs in the future.

400 rounds per hour is with preped brass.

So 1k "should" take 2 1/2 hours. Filling primer mag and powder measure takes time too.

I don't rush, it takes me about 4 hours to load 1k on a 550.
