I have a pound of AA2015. Is this powder acceptable for use with a AR15 & it's gas system?

Yes it is.  I use it with the 55 gr V-max.

I`ve loaded a few thousand rounds with it. You put it in a case with a bullet in front of it, it`ll work & very well at that! My AR doesn`t seem to care.

Thanks for the response.

I normally load 2520 for my AR15.  I mowed the lawn for a friend who is recovering from shoulder surgery. The pound of powder, was his way of saying thanks.

"Will work for powder or loading supplies"

I could see that on a sign somewhere.

Hey hdbiker 1, what is your 55 gr VMAX load?  I have some 2015 , and a bunch of 55 gr VMAX's, and need a good place to start  for AR.

First off, my barrel is a Lothar Walther 20" SS,  Wylde chamber.  I haven't fully developed this load, but 10 rounds into .75" avg @ 100yds will do.  LC brass, CCI 400, 23.8 gr of

2015 with the 55 V-max seated @ 2.25".
