Fairly new to reloading and wanted to see what some of you more experienced thought.
I wanted to try some 69gr SMK’s through my AR and I currently have some IMR 3031. Now, I can find quiet a bit of data for IMR 3031 with 55gr and less bullets out of both my books and the internet but nothing really for anything heavier, especially 69gr SMK’s. What I wanted to know is, is this a bad combination and where should I start or look? Can good accuracy be expected if I work it up right? Or should I pick something else? I realize Varget is popular with the SMK’s but there’s none to be found around here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |
