I was surprised they still had them, so I put in an order with Widener's for a bunch of 75 gr "mil-spec" bullets. Now, they are sold out.
I couldn't find any small rifle primers or brass, so I ordered a bunch of new, primed brass from Widener's. I was surprised they had them and no one was talking about it. Now, they are sold out. Having bullets and primed brass, I thought I better have some powder, too. I was surprised they had any, so I ordered 8 lb of TAC from Widener's. HEY! Widener's still has 8 pound cannisters of TAC IN STOCK ! You guys better get over there, ASAP! 23.5 gr TAC + 75 gr HPBT-M bullet seated to 2.235" OAL + small rifle primer + virgin commercial case = success. |

They have had it in stock for a while, so does powder valley |

Does the availability of powder imply something about how easy it is to scale up to meet greater demand for powder? Perhaps the powder lots are really big, so once a lot is made it becomes a bottling and delivery issue only?
Primers require all sorts of additional processing stweps and priming compound is really dangerous. This may preclude ready scale-up in production capacity to meet "short term" demand.. |
