Upon trying out my Rock Chucker Press I put the resizing die in it and set it up exactly as you are supposed to. I screwed it in until it touched the shell holder backed off the press and turn it about a 1/3 more raised the press and finger tightned it. Well my Lee die decapper clamp kept popping up keeping me from breaking the pin so I would reset it.
I did get a few cases done but had to constanly reset the pin. Finally a case got stuck I did get it out but stopped as something must be wrong. Yes they were lubed I even put some synthetic motor oil on them as I was putting them in the press to make sure it was not a lube problem. |

Motor oil is a poor choice for case lube. |

I second the comment RE: Your choice for Lube, and I suspect that is the cause for your stuck case....
There are MUCH better options like spray lubes and lube pads designed for this task... I use a spray but I understand IMPERIAL SIZING WAX is an excellent product if you don't want to use a spray.. Any chance you have the de-capping pin down far enough that it contacts the bottom of the case? If so it only needs to be down far enought to just go through the flash hole when you size the case.. |

I bet your de-priming MIL brass like LC? If you are using Lee dies, they don't like to de-prime crimped primers without cranking that
collet down tight! Anymore, I de-prime crimped primers with a Lee Universal Depriming Die. Their stout as Hell! And they guarantee them not to break the depriming pin. +1 for anything but motor oil! |

OK I will answer a few ?'s
Privi once fired 223 brass so yes it is crimped and boxed I new I would get trouble for the oil, I saw it on a youtube video and it seemed to work great for the guy in the video so I tried it. I will look into the other die but I will try to use the regualr lube first and see what happens |

If so it only needs to be down far enought to just go through the flash hole when you size the case.. Check this out. Make sure your pin isn't down too far. I did this once accidently and it took me 3 minutes to figure out why I couldn't get the lever to go all the way down. Eventually with enough force I heard a pop and noticed my pin was no longer flat with the top of the collet. My pin was bottoming out on the case and preventing the full stroke of the lever. The other thing I would try is tightening that sucker down good. I had another similar problem until I tightened it down real good. That stopped it from popping up. i also made sure to clean any lube off the pin where the collet holds it to give it a tiny bit more grab/friction on the pin. |

Prvi brass is shit, as it has an undersized flash hole. You will almost certainly have problems decapping it unless you have an undersized decapping pin. You may have stuck the pin, which stuck the case. You can turn your decapping pin down, then decap, then drill out the flash holes to standard size. Before brass became precious I tossed Privi brass into the scrap bin.
Oh, and use either Dillon spray lube or Imperial Wax. |
