I didn't find much with a search. I'm going to load .223 for the AR soon. Do I want to crimp? Are the Lee dies ok for my 550? Thanks for any help.

Most guys don't crimp. I always put a little crimp on them. I don't have the Dillon, but I do use lee dies, and have never had a problem with them. I originally went with the lee dies because they came with the factory crimp die.

I have Lee Deluxe Carbide Pistol dies and love them but when it came to .223 dies for my Dillon, I chose Dillon dies. I use the crimp die but I just kiss the edge of the case mouth rather than trying to drive the rim into the cannalure.
