Just wondering if there are any advantages or disadvantages in form fire brass in a heavey barrel type AR. I do realize you wound have to neck size the brass only at least for 3 reloads and then F.L. size the brass again. Any thoughts on this?

Yea, disadvantages.  Don't do it if you plan on reliable function from the magazine.  You should size full length and set the shoulder back 0.0015 to 0.003 inches.

A neck sized case that has been fired two or three times is likely to stick in the chamber.  The case springs back less at each firing as it work hardens, leaving smaller and smaller clearance around the case body each time.

We have one member here that follows the neck sizing practice.  If you're new to reloading, you should put in on a back burner for a while until you get the conventional process down.
