I am having trouble with one of my seating dies. I am getting very inconsistent COAL's. As in differences of two to three hundreths. It is my 6.8 dies that are doing it. I may get 2.290, then correct it to 2.30, and on the next round I will get 2.310. I am doing this for every cartridge. I am using Barnes bullets, so its not inconsistency in the bullets.
Thanks for the help. |

The charge is slightly compressed at this load, but I wouldnt think it would be enought to push the bullet. I guess it could be that its pushing it out enough that I have to continue to adjust the die, but shouldnt I still be more consistent? I guess I dont understand the 2.290 length on the very next cartridge. Wouldnt the same charge push back with near equal force on every cartridge?
I should hope its not the bullets. When one pays $36 a box, they had better be very consistent. I am using TTSX's. Thanks |
