I understand that adding polish will make the cases shiny, but what do you add to clean fouled and tarnished cases?  Do you run walnut dry or do you add a solvent (non-flammable) to it?

Some times you will not be able to polish or clean brass that has seen some weathering from being stored wet.....Walnut cleans better, and corncob polishes better.

I use walnut with the above liquid polish. It is made to polish brass.

Dillon rapid shine is also a good choice.

I have two tumblers. The walnut has mineral spirits and Midway brass polish. The second tumbler has corn and Midway brass polish. One hour in each. Brass is clean and shiny.
