Can I use .452 185 JHP in my Taurus judge?
I can not find load data for this in my reloading books. Will i be Ok using 45acp load? Thanks JCAST |

If it isn't in a load book, it just might be a bad choice. I'd say it would be a really bad choice in the Judge due to the extra length of the cylinder. The bullet is extra short and won't have much bearing surface. Even if there was load data, I would expect very poor accuracy.
Sure, you can use ACP data, but I'd give it a 96% probability of sticking the bullet in the barrel. |

Thanks JCAST you can in a .45 colt single action army and a rugerblackhawk, vaquero and its progeny. i don't know if there are any issues specific to the judge as to why you can't. the sierra manual lists loads for the 185 grain bullet for standard pressures. 700x –– 7.4 (850) to 9.4 (1150) pb –– 8.2 (850) to 10.4 (1150) unique –– 9 (950) to 12 (1150) sr4756 –– 13 (1000) to 14.2 (1150) hodgdon # 26 unique –– 8.5 (912) to 9.5 (1001) bullseye –– 6 (859) to 7 (976) |
