What of course I notice with this power as well as WIN 748 is that they are both "flake" type powders.  I have found that I deal more with a "sticking" or static cling type action of this powder in my powder measure (on a Lee Classic progressive loader) and thus get inaccurate loads which stagger my velocity (of course chrono'd my results which varied by about 500fps high and low roughly).

In starting out, of course I noticed I needed to be more consistent with the powder drop stage on my progressive loader and feel I have improved on that but do still notice that "flake" type powder still clings.

I have discovered that IMR 4895 and Accurate 2015 are "cylindrical" type powders that do drop well thus far in my powder measure and seem to be consistent when I periodically check the weight on my scale.

I am simply reloading for the most accurate and safe "blinking" rounds that will allow me to enjoy my ar.  Any input on powder selection types while conforming to the load specs?  Solutions to the clinging of powder to the inside of the powder measure?

Appreciate the input and some good info on the last "IMR" post...

If your IMR 4198 is flake powder,, you've got a problem,, it's stick powder,,  cylimdrical powder.

4198 is not a flake powder to my knowledge. To get rid of the static get some powdered graphite, look where you can get keys and acces., and squirt a liberal amount in your hopper. Shake it around and also run some thru the drop portion and if possible shake it around. Powdered graphite will get rid of the static cling. Dump the excess. Eventually the powder would do the same thing.

SORRY - I think I was speaking of H355 as it was the first powder I used and recall this distinct problem - sorry if I mislead anyone....

H-335 and W-748 are ball powders.

To get rid of the static electricity in your powder measure, wipe it down with a dryer sheet.
