Hey all, I have run into a problem with accuracy at 100yds. I am using LC brass LC 55gr bullets imr4895 powder coal 2.255. I started low and went to 25gr of powder. I first got what seems to be good groups @50yds using 23.5 to 24.0. Cut nice hole. Alittle over an inch or so with a flyer or 2. FPS between 2500 thru 2700. Can do this consistantly.  @ 24.5 and 25.0 opened up to about 5" FPS 2750 thru 2850. Settled on 23.7.  So i take my taget out to 100yds and group opens up to 4"  My question is should i be working load up at 100yds

Yes.  What setup are you shooting the round through??  Are you shooting with a scope off a rest??  That bullet isn't a match bullet by any stretch either, so don't expect super small groups.  2-4 minutes of angle is probably realistic.

Yes, scoped  all tight resting in palm infront of mag well on rolled up carpet. Rifle is a Colt hbar 1\9 twist Sight picture looks very stable. What should an ar15 be averaging at 100yds. Not looking for tack driver just something alittle tighter. Would a different bullet help. I hear hornady is a good choice.

I'm getting sub-moa at 100 yds. with hornady 55 grainers and varget out of a stock BM varminter. I would play around some more and dial in a good load for you. Your gun is capable of better groups.
